This year, during Daan Utsav, children from ten schools discovered the transformative magic of giving! It was a heartwarming journey filled with compassion and community spirit.

One school team kicked off the celebration by cleaning their school premises, showcasing their dedication to creating a cleaner and greener environment. “Cleaning our school made me feel like I was helping my friends learn better. It was fun to work together!” shared one child.

Another group took on the challenge of reorganising their school library, transforming it into a warm and inviting haven for learning. “I love reading, and I want everyone to enjoy it too,” said another participant. “Making the library better means more kids will want to read!”

The most touching experiences unfolded during the visit to a Home for the Destitute, where the children engaged with residents, sharing smiles and stories. “Hearing their stories made me realise how lucky I am. I want to help more people like them,” reflected one child, highlighting the impact of their visit.

At Karunya Buds School in Kakkaravila (a school for children with special needs), children embraced teamwork as they cleaned the school grounds, spreading the spirit of cleanliness and care. “We worked as a team, and it felt amazing to make the school look nice,” noted a participant.

Other schools participated in similar activities throughout the week, fostering a spirit of giving and community engagement. Each initiative was driven by a desire to contribute positively to their surroundings.

At EmpowerEd, we believe in nurturing empathy and social responsibility in our children. Daan Utsav beautifully reminds us how giving can transform young hearts into compassionate and engaged citizens.

Let’s continue inspiring our children to embrace the joy of giving. Together, we can cultivate a generation that understands the profound impact of their actions on the world around them. Join us in this journey of empowerment, and let’s celebrate the spirit of giving!
