What’s the cornerstone of building a strong, value-driven generation? At EmpowerEd Foundation, we believe it starts with equipping parents to shape their children’s future. Strengthening a child’s ecosystem is the key to holistic growth, and parents are at its heart.
Recently, we conducted parenting sessions for parents of children from Grades 5 to 7 across ten schools in Trivandrum and Ernakulam. Over 325 parents participated, sharing insights and embracing the transformative journey of parenting.
These sessions tackled real-life challenges like managing screen time, fostering empathy, and instilling discipline—emphasising both the responsibility and the rewards of parenting. From understanding how love and mutual respect shape character to creating nurturing habits, the discussions illuminated the vital role of parents in a child’s development.
One parent reflected, “I realised the importance of setting aside time for my child, listening to them, and being a role model. It’s not just about raising children; it’s about raising ourselves as better parents.”
The feedback was a resounding realisation: “Change begins with us as parents.” By sharing practical tools to nurture faith, confidence, good habits, and emotional resilience, the sessions helped parents build environments where children thrive.
