Yes, EmpowerEd Foundation holds the required certificates for claiming tax exemptions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act of 1961. According to Section 80G, all gifts are 50% tax-free and apply only to contributions made by Indian nationals. Once indicated by the Income Tax Department, EmpowerEd Foundation will send you a Certificate of Donation in Form 10BE to the email address you provided. Please ensure the department receives your full name, postal address, and valid PAN card number.

Once you complete and validate your online donation, it will be deposited into our bank account. Your contribution will help cover program and administrative expenses. In a few hours, you will receive an acknowledgement for your donation. If this does not occur, please email relations@empowered.ngo, and we will investigate the status of your donation.
A donation cannot be cancelled or refunded once it has been completed and validated.
Yes, it is safe to donate online. We use a secure payment gateway. However, it is recommended to proceed with the donation from a personal device and to avoid doing it from a public area.
We adhere to a stringent data protection policy to ensure the security and safety of your information. We will never provide or sell any donor information to third parties.
According to Government regulations, it is mandatory for recipient organisations to maintain records of donor identity. The recipient organisation is permitted to issue the certificate of donation (Form 10BE) only upon submission of the required donor details, including full name, postal address and valid PAN card number.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept online donations from foreign nationals as we do not have an FCRA licence. Please contact us directly for alternative ways to contribute. We appreciate your understanding.
