Here’s why we keep doing what we do!
Manju (name changed) is employed in a small shop in Thevara, Ernakulam, Kerala. She and her husband (a painter) struggle to make their family’s ends meet. Her eyes were brimming with tears when she spoke about her son Anish (name changed), studying in grade 5. He has concentration issues, and two years of online studies during COVID-19 have significantly affected his learning interest.
Anish was enrolled in our value-rooted skill development project at his school. After three months, he has started showing marked improvement in his attitude towards studies, says Manju. His class teacher says, “Anish is happy at school and enjoys learning”.
There is still a long way to go, but we are grateful for the progress and will do our best to help him achieve effective learning outcomes.
